_MIneral Point is a charming, historic, artists community nestled in the rolling hills of Southwest Wisconsin's scenic driftless area. Over 500 buildings within the city are designated as an historic district by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Trust in 2009 honored Mineral Point as one of the nation's Dozen Distinctive Destinations.

Shake Rag Alley
_Historic 1830's log cabin, Mineral Point's oldest standing structure, is located on the campus of Shake Rag Alley School of Arts and Crafts, just a block from Longbranch Gallery. Shake Rag Alley offers a wide range of year round workshops in traditional, visual, literary, and performance arts. Alley Stage, an outdoor theater, is also located on the campus and offers musical and theatrical performances throughout the summer.
